The reason I decided to start learning Arabic are two.

The main one is that Jesus seem to have talked Galilean aramaic at his time. I watned from the beginning to learn Aramaic.

“She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”  (  John 20:16-17  )

Te second reason is that I did not have enough support to learn Aramaic. No students of mine talked aramaic and the Quran is written in Classic Arabic.

I found that Aramaic and Arabic belongs to the same language family group, the semitic languages. I like too read the Quran to know more about Islamand Jesus (Isa)  and what God said to Mohammed.

To my help I found Maha, a Palestinian Christian girl who had made several good lessons on Youtube. Thanks to her I can understand the Arabic letters in the Quran.  nBut it takes long time to be able to read and understand talked Arabic.  But with perserverance one makes slowly progresses.
